St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in Albany, NY and is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or ELCA.
We have a Sunday morning worship service at 9:30 AM and for the summer months the service is at our cemetery chapel location, 303 Sand Creek Rd. in Colonie. This space is air-conditioned, we will be worshiping here through Sunday, September 4. All are welcome!
Our Mission is Worship the Lord, Serve Faithfully, Reach Out. We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation, Reaching Out, sharing God’s love and grace, and as such we are dedicated to being Sanctuary (safe-haven) to all God’s people. We welcome all to share in the life and ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity, socio-economic or marital status, physical or mental capabilities, or sexual orientation.
