Mid-Week Lenten Worship

There will be two Cluster opportunities for mid-week Lenten worship. Each Wednesday, there will be a service at St. John’s chapel 303 Sand Creek Road, Colonie, 12:15 p.m. This year’s theme is, “We Wish to See Jesus.”

The Cluster congregations will gather on Wednesday evenings, rotating among the five churches. The evening will begin with a soup supper at 6:00 p.m. Those unable to be at the meal, are invited to arrive by 7:00 p.m. for worship. We will use the Holden Evening Prayer service.

The topic Wednesday evenings in Lent is, “God Satisfies the Hungry Heart,” a chance to think about hunger and satisfaction. Following are scheduled locations for Lenten evenings:

  • March 12 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Pastor David Gruenwald
  • March 19 at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit – Pastor Paul Rees-Rohrbacher
  • March 26 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church – Pastor Allie Leitzel
  • April 2 at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Pastor David Preisinger
  • April 9 at First Lutheran Church – Pastor John Knarvik

An offering and collection of canned goods will be received for local food pantries.
